Sarah ~ The Dog and Ducks Designs
One-Page Website Client Case Study
When Sarah reached out, her artistry was beautiful… But her website was blank.
Not metaphorically. Literally.
Six months of good intentions.
Six months of “I’ll start tomorrow.”
Six months of trying to piece together the perfect words... and ending up staring at a blinking cursor.
Like a lot of artists, jewellers, and candle makers I work with, it wasn’t a lack of passion. It was the paralysis of doing it justice (we see you perfectionism).
Sarah didn’t just need a website. She needed clarity, momentum, and someone who got that her work didn’t fit into neat boxes.
Especially not when she’s creating one-of-a-kind Mioritic shepherd commissions (which no one else in the UK is offering, might I add). Budget was tight, but she was desperate for a place where people could explore and buy her beautiful pieces.
“I had a complete mental block,” she said. “As a bit of a perfectionist, starting from scratch was overwhelming… so I procrastinated. For six months.”
So we didn’t start with strategy.
We started with a conversation.
Chats, voice notes, aand the occasional (unsolicited) musical interlude on my part...
Because sometimes you don’t need a copywriter. You need a co-creator who helps you gently untangle the chaos.
Together, we shaped a one-page website that sounded like her (and was kind to her budget).
Although she’ll build this out eventually, this needed to be a solid base ~ no token gestures around these parts, my lovely.
Just clear, SEO-rich language that gave people a reason to pause, stay, and get in touch with this incredibly talented artist.
When I sent over the final draft, her response?
“Yesssss! This is exactly what I’ve needed in my life.”
“I’m actually relieved I waited because I’d have launched something average. Now I’ve got something I’m genuinely proud of.”
And that’s the part people don’t talk about enough.
The quiet relief of finally being proud of how you show up online.
Sarah’s not just got a page to share, she’s got the foundation to expand.
Future collaborations with interior designers? She’s got the copy to pitch it.
New offers or commissions? We laid the groundwork for that too.
“I got my one-page website and more. Tips for future growth, confidence in what I’m saying, and someone in my corner.”
