Sarah ~ The Dog and Ducks Designs

When Sarah first reached out, her work was breathtaking
but her website? Totally blank.

Six months of good intentions.
Six months of “I’ll start tomorrow.”
Six months of wrestling with words, then quietly closing the tab again.

And not because she didn’t care.

Like so many artists, jewellers, and candle-makers I work with… it wasn’t a passion problem.
It was a “how on earth do I do this justice?” problem.

(Perfectionism? Yeah. We see you.)

Sarah didn’t just need a website.
She needed clarity. A bit of momentum. And someone who got that her work didn’t fit into neat little boxes ~ especially not when she’s the only person in the UK making one-of-a-kind Mioritic shepherd dog commissions.

Budget was tight. But she didn’t need bells and whistles.
She needed a place to show the beauty of what she was making. A proper online home.

“I had a complete mental block,” she told me.
“As a bit of a perfectionist, starting from scratch was overwhelming… so I procrastinated. For six months.”

So we didn’t start with strategy.

We started with a chat.
Voice notes. The odd uninvited musical interlude (on my end, obviously).
Because sometimes? You don’t need a copywriter.
You need a co-creator. Someone to help gently untangle the knot and say: “Okay. Here’s where we start.”

Together, we created a one-page website that sounded like her ~ calm, thoughtful, and beautifully clear.
It was simple. Intentional. Budget-friendly. And it gave her room to grow later.
No placeholder fluff. No "that’ll do" copy.
Just honest words that gave people a reason to pause, stay, and feel something.

When I sent over the final version?

“Yesssss! This is exactly what I’ve needed in my life.”

“I’m actually relieved I waited I’d have launched something ‘ok’. Now I’ve got something I’m genuinely proud of.”

That’s the bit no one talks about enough:
The quiet relief of finally being proud of how you’re showing up online.

Now Sarah’s got a foundation to build on:
→ A one-pager she can confidently share
→ Copy she can adapt for collaborations, pitches, new commissions
→ Language she can actually use

“I got my one-page website and more.
Tips for future growth. Confidence in what I’m saying.
And someone in my corner.”

Go have a peek at her gorgeous work over at The Dog and Duck Designs (when it’s live ~ soon soon).

I’ll be over here cheering her on (I’ve already bought a couple of her custom greeting cards, sooo cute).
